A Symphony of Harmony: Sufi Islamic Board Joins Karunalayam in Welcoming the Divine Thiruvaabharana Ghosha Yathra

Celebrating Unity in Diversity at Kidangannur

In a heartwarming display of India’s rich tradition of secularism and communal harmony, the Sufi Islamic Board, in collaboration with the Karunalayam Charitable Trust, had the distinct honor of organizing a grand reception for the holy Thiruvaabharana Ghosha Yathra (Procession of Sacred Ornaments) from Pandalam Palace.

As the devotees and the sacred procession made their way through Kidangannur, they were greeted not just with the customary chants, but with open arms and brotherly love from our community members. This event stands as a testament to the Sufi values of peace, service, and universal brotherhood that transcend religious boundaries.

A Uniting Moment

The reception was held at the gateway of the Karunalayam Amma Veedu Auditorium. The atmosphere was filled with spiritual energy as thousands of devotees accompanied the procession.

We were honored to have our esteemed leadership present to witness and participate in this auspicious occasion:

  • Sayyid Ibrahim Abdul Koya Jifri Thangal (State President, Sufi Islamic Board)

  • P.M.A. Salam Musliyar Mannar (General Secretary)

  • Nizamuddin J (Vice President)

Together, they welcomed the procession, demonstrating that respect for all faiths is the cornerstone of our society. A highlight of the event was honoring the Royal Representative, Shri P.N. Narayana Varma, by draping a Ponnada (ceremonial shawl) as a mark of deep respect and hospitality.

Service with Love

Under the leadership of Chairman Janab Abdul Azeez, the Karunalayam Charitable Trust played a pivotal role in serving the weary yet enthusiastic devotees. In the true spirit of service (Khidmat), our volunteers and the inmates of Karunalayam served juice, fresh fruits, and refreshments to the people participating in the rally.

It was a touching sight to see around 200 residents of Karunalayam Amma Veedu joining in to welcome the procession, proving that humanity is the greatest religion of all.

The Thiruvaabharana Ghosha Yathra is not just a ritual; it is a journey that connects hearts. By standing together—Sufi leaders, Karunalayam volunteers, and Sabarimala devotees—we reaffirmed our commitment to a peaceful, united, and harmonious Kerala.

May this act of love inspire many more to bridge gaps and build bonds of friendship across all communities.
